When playing Grand Theft Auto Online, your primary goals are to make money, increase your rank points, and level up your character. You can participate in various missions that are given out by the non-player characters (NPCs), earning cash and rank points payouts upon completion.
The first time you complete a mission, you’ll receive the full payout amount for the mission. You can complete the mission again and again, but the payout for repeat missions is only half of the first payout.
Some missions also require that your character be ranked at a high enough level before that mission becomes available. As you gain rank points from completing “lower” GTA Online missions, you’ll level up until you can complete the higher (and better paying) missions.
